Thomas Yang

William Chin

William Chin is Assistant Conductor of the Chicago Symphony Chorus, of which he is also a singing member. He is also the founder and artistic director of The Oriana Singers, a six-voice ensemble that has presented concerts in the Midwest, Europe and Central America since 1979.

Mr. Chin is Minister of Music at First United Church of Oak Park, where he directs the sanctuary choir and started the Music At First concert series. He is also director of the Anshe Emet Choir, and this fall was appointed director of the Oak Park and River Forest Children's Choir and the director of The Symphony Chorus of the Symphony of Oak Park & River Forest. He served as assistant conductor and bass section leader of the Chamber Singers at Holy Name Cathedral. He was also Artistic Director of the Chicago Children's Choir from 1993 to 1999.

Bill is active as a singer in the Chicago area and has performed with the Cathedral Singers and Schola Antiqua, and has sung in numerous recording sessions. He has been an adjunct faculty member at the School for New Learning of DePaul University and is a recipient of a Joseph Jefferson Citation.


Jim Hinton

Jim is a native of Illinois.  He received his degree in theater from the University of Illinois in Urbana.  He has worked in Chicago as an actor and singer for twelve years with various theater groups including The Court Theatre, Body Politic, The Theatre Building, Oak Park Festival, Light Opera Works and Whirlwind Performance Company.  As a member of  the Elgin Choral Union he has been a featured soloist as well as with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra and Traverse Symphony in Michigan.  He is a student of Teresa Brancacci-Hansen.  Jim currently resides in Elgin

Ken Denson

Ken is an accomplished tenor who has been performing professionally throughout the Chicagoland area for over eight years.  A former member of both the Grant Park Symphony Chorus in Chicago and The New Classic Singers in Glen Ellyn, Illinois,  Ken is also an alternate singer with the Holy Name Cathedral Chamber Singers in Chicago.  Kenís recent accomplishments include performing at the 1993 and 1996 ACDA Conventions as well as performing under the direction of John Rutter at the 1995 and 1997 St. Charles Arts & Music Festivals.
